Dear Family and Friends,

As I prepare for my bar mitzvah, I’ve chosen a mitzvah project that means a lot to me: helping fight food insecurity in our community. Many individuals and families don’t always have enough to eat, and I want to do my part to help change that.

For my project, I’m collecting rice and canned beans to donate to the Brighton Food Cupboard, a program of Jewish Family Services of Rochester. I would be incredibly grateful if you would consider supporting me by donating food to help those in need.

Here’s how you can help:

• Donate rice and beans (On October 18th, there will be a collection box inside Temple Beth El synagogue. Outside the sanctuary upstairs).

• If you prefer not to bring food to the synagogue on my celebration day or if you are unable to join us on October 18th, please feel free to make a donation to the Brighton Food Cupboard, a program of Jewish Family Services of Rochester here.
